I have also been checking into pet insurance. I was looking at the Trupanion site and also looked at the PetPlan. I can't seem to decide what would be best for us. I don't mind paying the routine stuff out of pocket if that means a lower monthly payment but I want something in place in case of emergencies or if a congential defect showed up later on. I know at the vet visit we went to, she said he was in great shape but ever since starting this forum I worry about things like liver shunt or knee issues that would mean immediate surgeries. I want to have something in place if the time ever came.
