thanks, everybody! i made an account at shutterfly and they have this express uploader that let me drag 270 pics to be uploaded all at once. it's awesome! especially since snapfish was so difficult. i figure i'll do this all night then send them to yet another site later this week as more back up. i have flash drives & cd's but i don't have anything that would hold this amount of photos.
