My boy does not dig - he really prefers to be indoors whenever possible. He cleans the grass off of himself when he comes inside, too. It's great finding all that junk ... on the couch... in my bed... you know, the best places
My girl, on the other hand, is a bird and squirrel chaser. She is always rolling around outside and she digs these little holes, only a few inches deep, in random places. I call her my ditzy dog. I don't think she can focus long enough to dig like your Max!
