I may just have to "eat" my deposit and forget about this breeder. Am I right in this, or being paranoid?
Also, who (in Texas) IS a reputable breeder? Who will offer full registration so I can possibly get in to showing? Who doesn't charge a ton of money because the dog carries some *special* gene?
If you refuse to go through the heartache of a sick dog again then I think you know you should walk away from these people. Were the dam and sire health and DNA tested prior to breeding? If they are letting these puppies go at 8 weeks (or before) there is no doubt that they are not good, reputable breeders. In fact, it is highly unlikely that you will find a show worthy dog from a breeder like this. I don't show Yorkies and am not a breeder, but when I looked at their site I didn't really think the dogs looked like they were within the standard according to the Yorkshire Terrier Club of America (just my opinion), which is where you should start your search for a REPUTABLE breeder:

Also, research a bit more about how to get into the show ring. Just buying a puppy with a full registration isn't really how it works.

Good luck!
