I will say two weeks is a good time frame, I had my galbladder out 4 weeks ago, and after about 5-6 days I was feeling well enough to go outside and drive (very little though) and by the following week I was feeling almost normal, if you have a moderately sedentary job than you'll be okay, but if your job requires you to strain yourself physically then you may need to take more time to let your body heal.
