First I am happy to hear he is happy and running. Please don't discount the anti-imflammatory effect of the steroids.
Use this well "hiatus" to join the GME group, to research, and to inquire.
Holistic drugs often times take weeks or even months to work. I know this because I use them for my dogs, as well as myself.
I am glad that you have your faith, but I do believe that modern medicine is one of God's best helpers.
Perhaps God has guided you (in the form of your breeder) to this site, for you to get human guidance
