As for shampoo I use Bobbi Panter's Itchy Dog shampoo. My vet recommended it because Giz had dry skin. It's soothing, tear free, and salt free.
As for crate training, we discovered with Gizmo that just putting him in there when we go to the store, have to work, or when we're not in the . But he sleeps with us. I guess it's different with every Yorkie and every Yorkie owner.
I know alot of YT members also use expens. So, that would be something to consider also.
Also, your pup will probably begin teething, no rawhide for fur babies! Gizmo loves bully sticks so that's another options. Oh he loves his kong too!
