I agree with above. I would also like to point out that if you get any strange PMs from breeders with low post counts trying to sell you a puppy, please ignore them. If they are afraid to post in the open they are trying to hide something. Start with the YTCA and look for referrals there. Remember to buy your breeder first, then the puppy. A reputable breeder will stand behind her pup for the life of the dog. Others will never return your call after they get your money. Sad, but the truth is that bad breeders outnumber the reputable ones by a landslide. Take your time and do your research! The fact that your previous breeder does not have any pups available now is a good sign she is reputable. Most reputable breeders are scaling back big time in this economy. Most likely why she does not know anyone else who has pups now either.
