My husband did have one when he was a kid. Right here in Indiana. When it got too big, his mom had him give it to the school for a class pet. Over a holiday break the janitor accidentally turned off the switch that kept his tank warm and he died. True story!

LoL!!! My Grandparents had a baby alligator, it was long ago like in the 70's. That was the time everyone had tigers as pets!! They also had a desert tortise, he is still alive! We had to rehome him when my Grandparents passed, that tortise was my Gmas baby!!
