Roxi has the same reaction when she gets her shots (she weighs 1.8 lbs now). The first time the vet gave her the shot, they gave her a little pain medicine by mouth. She also would cry if I picked her up and touched the injection site. But by the next day she was fine. Her next set of shots was the same...once again just a little pain medicine. She actually didn't cry at all during the injection, just once the medicine started stinging. I'm not saying that it doesn't hurt, but Roxi does seem to be a little bit of diva at the vet. She buries her head in my hair and than every once in awhile looks out and give the vet a dirty look.
