When Joey needed to lose weight after a trick training class, the vet said to cut his kibble by 1/3 and add a few green beans to make him feel full, he was able to lose about an ounce a week by doing that. Increasing exercise helps too.
Great suggestions as I am working on getting Buster to loose weight. I will add more green beans. When I just cut back his portions he started eating his poop.
