Went back a couple more times, same thing. Her littermates ran around and played, she was content to sit on my lap and watch. She was soooo laid back I actually had concerns maybe she was "sickly" - but I went ahead and got her: what a surprise ---- as soon as she got away from her domineering littermates she came into her own: she is now the alpha dog with the other dogs/demanding. That being said, I wouldn't trade her for anything in the world, but I can assure you, you can't tell initially what their personality will be. It is what it is.
What about meeting your pup on a one to one basis? Maybe without the family around you can get a better feel?
