I got my first yorkie from what I now know was probably a BYB. She had other litters besides yorkie's. I did not know better. Suzi is now 3 years old. She did not come with AKC papers or anything. She looked like a little doll and had the face of a yorkie pup. The breeder did one thing right though, kept the litters separate and vaccinated. But , Suzi was only going on 9weeks. I did not know they needed to be at least 12 weeks old. Fortunately Suzi has been very healthy, she just does not conform to the Standard of the breed. Although her hair color has changed it did not change all the way, leaving a lot more silver blue towards the back of her , and a lot less gold on her face. But, we love her anyway. She is also bigger then the average yorkie . She stil is very cute, a wonderful watchdog, and loves to give out puppy kissess.
Their was something I have to let you be aware of> my brother was talking to a small pet store owners about giving his pups to them for selling. I knew those puppies had been in bred. And the store was willing and ready to take his puppies in a heartbeat. They were Chi mixes . Small , but the male was allowed to mate with the female who was the daughter of the male
If you are more interested in a yorkie mix, petfinder is good, and sometimes Craigslist . I just found a very cute male yorkie poo listed, who was actually at the pound when a family rescued him. They are only looking for a great home. He is going to be fixed before rehoming, and looks excatly like a yorkie, his hair is just curly like a poodle's. I am still interested in him.
