Ok. 2 yrs ago an ortho dr sd i had osteoporosis. This was the dx after I broke a bone in my back from a seizure. They found several past fractures and did bone density test.
I went to my new pcp today (had been a pt there several yrs ago and going back due to ins change). There is one dr there that i do not really like, neither does my bro in law or my dtr that also goes there. He has a thick asian accent and he tends not to tell you what is wrong, just saying take this med unless you specifically ask. I was in pain with my back today and left work early. He was the only dr there today. After xrays, he asked who dx osteo, i told him. He sd from what he sees, i do not have it, I have degenerative disk disease. So who is right? He gave me a steroid shot and has ordered physical therapy.
I am so confused. What does anyone think? Should I go back to ortho and talk to him? Or is my pcp crazy? thoughts pls. Thanks.
