A chihuahua, a maltese, minature dachshund, or a minature poodle. I've had a dachshund before and she was an amazing pet & lived to be 17 1/2 years old. So, I will always have a soft spot there. But my sister has two chihuahuas and they are as sweet as yorkies (ALMOST). My Son & DIL have 2 poodles and they are almost like little people! I have to admit they seem to be a little smarter than my yorkies who I always say --"That's okay, you don't have to be smart, cause your're so pretty!"
But maybe my DIL is just a better dog trainer or my yorkies have trained me instead of vice versa? LOL! And Maltese -- well, because they are almost like little white yorkies. So I am curious about how they compare with personalities. I wish I could have all the dogs I want. But I also want to spoil them and take the best care possible and being retired I have some financial limits too. But something tells me I am going to get at least one more yorkie before any other breed.
