Nikki is definitely in good and loving hands. The senior years can be difficult. I recall you posted pictures when Nikki first came to live with you and one of your girls seemed to stick by Nikki on his blanket when you had your whole gang outside. Was that Cali? Is Nikki still growing closer to the girls and snuggling?
