I was just answered a PM from another YT member about Adie being a medical alert dog and wondered how many of us have these wonderful psychic yorkies or yorkies that are attentive to our conditions.

Adie started alerting me to low blood sugars on her own which started the path to her becoming my official personal body guard. But it goes so much deeper with her! According to my dh, she goes over to the garage door many minutes before I arrive home from work which alerts the other dogs to my imminent arrival. By the time my car pulls into the driveway all four of them are lined up waiting for me to get there. This also happens no matter where I go or how long I have been gone. The last time I went to Florida without Adie she was at the door just minutes before the limo brought me home so it isn't the sound of my car!

I can predict when I am going to wake up with a migraine too. Adie is restless the whole night before and will sleep on my pillow wrapped around my head instead of in front of me with my arm wrapped around her. (I now take my medication to ward it off instead of taking it after the pain starts.)

She won't leave my side if I am sick (which is often annoying when I am trying to sleep or turn over!).

I was having a really hard time with one of my medications - it would cause me to spend hours in the bathroom vomiting (and other things.) Adie would be right there with me on the cold bathroom floor. Never taking her eyes off me.

I am actually tearing up right now as I think about the is wonderful little girl. Yes she has attitude and can be a real prima donna but I wouldn't trade her for the world! What about your special one(s)?

Oh, and by the way, Skeeter (Adie's younger brother) has started licking my bare skin every chance he gets. Dh jokes that he is tasting me but Adie used to do that too! Makes me wonder if he is starting to sense things too. He is, after all, a true mama's boy!
