So, my sweet little baby boy Peyton has his surgery tomorrow (Thursday.)
God willing it will all go well and he can come home on Friday.
This is a surgery to his left hind leg due to a fractured growth plate. He will be on crate rest for 6-8 weeks +/-. I know some of you have been through surgery with your pups. The surgeon will be giving me post op care instructions, but I would really like to hear from all of you as well. What worked for you, what didn't. Tips on giving pain meds, keeping comfortable, etc.
Needless to say I am worried sick for him, but am trying to cope...and being proactive works for me. So, any advice or tips would be very much appreciated. Thanks!
