Unfortunately one of the fastest growing scams is brokers who pose as rescues, they've learned they can make more money selling rescues than they can selling puppies, and they don't have to do anything if the dog is deemed sick! A legitimate rescue always spays and neuters before adopting, and most rescues are just trying to recover the cost for this. Some rescues do charge more than $300.00 to help recoup the cost for other dogs who need much more health care, but those dogs can't be listed here. If a dog is listed here, it's because it really needs a home, and no one is profiting from it. |
