Thanks everyone...your kind messages brought tears to my eyes.

The student assigned to his case just called with an update. They are really good about giving updates. She said he didn't do too well when I left. He is super attached to me...and me to him! She said she got him out and has been holding him most of the afternoon and will do so as much as she can the rest of the night. That made me feel good. I almost asked if that was possible, but I didn't because I figured it wouldn't be. See, God is good even in bad times. He answers our hearts prayers.

She said she'll call again tonight and in the morning. He is scheduled first for surgery at 9 am. If all goes well he might be able to come home Friday afternoon.
