Default First time yorkie mom here!

HI! We just got a yorkie on Sunday to add to our family. He is the sweetest little boy and so much fun. He is 12 weeks old and weight 4lbs. He is very snuggly and wants to be held all day long. Our 3 year old daughter named him Snoozels. He is doing well with potty training as long as we take him out ever hour. We have been having a little problem with sleeping at night and I could use some advice. We had him in a small foyer area blocked off with is pillow and pee pee pad. He would cry for about 20mins the first two nights and then go to sleep until 7 or 8am. Well we decided we need to put him in a kennel because it is just not functional having him in the foyer. So we did last night and he cried and cried for ever. He finally gave up and went to sleep but not for a while. So my question is what is the best way to get him comfortable with sleeping in a kennel? Any other advice you would like to share with a first time yorkie owner I would love to hear any and all of it. Thanks for any help!
