I understand that you are interested in a younger dog and that it is hard to find one for your area. Please talk to some of the rescues in nearby states. I used to volunteer with a small breed rescue and we had a transportation network that we used when needed. Those rescues might have something like that available. You might have to meet part way also.
You would be giving a new life to one in need.
