My Gizmo is 4 yrs old now, but when I first got him it was rough leaving him to go to work, I would leave him in a large cage with food water and line the cage with potty pads, he did fine. After about 4 months on fridays he would go to day care down the street from my job, because that was my late day, now he gets the run of the house but I am home eveyday but if I leave without him which is rare, he does fine as a matter of fact sometimes he will let me know he would rather stay home, when I put his carrier down and say lets go bye bye, he will either get inside or jump up in the reclyner and curl up.. It i gonna take time but he will be fine
