My vet will spay at 5 mos and over. That being said he recommends we spay her before first heat because it reduces the risk of ovarian cancer or something if I remember correctly. The risk of ovarian cancer after a first heat cycle only increased by like 5-10% I think, so I decided to wait until she is atleast 6 mos because she is still so small to me and I worry for her.
