I don't know if he's a quack, but I would agree with Rachel that you might need a new vet . . . perhaps one that knows something about Yorkies!

My Nicco weighed 3lbs 13oz at 12 weeks and now tips the scales at over 10 pounds (he is 4 years old). Conversely, my daughter's Yorkie weighed about 3 pounds at 12 weeks and is still under 5 pounds - she just turned two. They all grow at different rates so you might be surprised at his adult weight.
