A few of your small shows, especially matches will allow other dogs, but they prefer not and they must be at least 6 months old with certificate of Rabies (I read somewhere). But most shows only allow the dogs that are entered to be near the rings.
I would suggest not to only because the others are right, your dog could pick up something. Not everyone, which is sad, do not take care of their dogs like they should.
