They typically say that the age to spay/neuter is at 6 months...however, for smaller breeds, sometimes the vet will wait until they are older, or have gained some more weight. Fiona was 6 months when she got spayed, I told the vet I wanted to do it a week before she turned 6 months so she wouldnt come in heat, he said no, she will be fine, well, needless to say, the sunday before her scheduled spay, she came into heat, so I had to wait 3 weeks to get her fixed. I would tell you to have bloodwork done before hand, to make sure everything is in range....Good Luck!
ps. if she has any remaining baby teeth, they will extract them for you during her spay!
