The coat color changes as the Yorkie ages. Once again, genetics will determine your baby's adult colors. Achieving the ideal coloration (standard set by the YTCA) is one of the challenges of good breeding. The standard saddle turns gun metal blue. I believe that is how it is described. Some Yorkies will turn lighter silver. A coat can take 2-3 years to fully develop, and can change in the senior years.
