When I was searching for Bailey, I was undecided on which sex I wanted. I found my 'mentor' and learned that showing a male is a lot easier than showing a female, especially for a 'newbie' to the showing world. I asked a few breeders why they priced their females more than their males and that's the answer I was given. Even if a female is sold with limited papers, she can still be bred.
I've had both male & female dogs and find males A LOT more clingy. All of my female dogs have been super independant.
