Thanks for the information! This one is also available in Canada, but on the website I looked at it said they do not market the product for animals, so to talk to a veterinarian about it first. If we decide to try it I'll probably forward the ingredient list to the vet to make sure it's okay, especially since it would be used every day.

We have tried a makeshift booster seat! We've elevated her on blankets, etc. especially when she was in her carrier but it doesn't seem to make a difference. We've opened the back windows so she gets the sounds and sights and smells, and it distracts her for a couple of seconds but she goes right back to her screaming

If we can't fix the problem with rescue remedy or anything like that, we might splurge on a console carseat for the car. Before she was paralyzed, she loved car rides and would always sit on the console between my boyfriend and I. We just want to make sure if she's in the front at all, she's strapped in, and in the middle instead of in front of an airbag. Of course, console car seats are really expensive

so it will probably be our last effort.
