I agree with you totally except that I and many others however are perfectly capable and have much knowlegde on vaccinating my own brood and I don't consider it cutting corners as I have to buy the vaccines anyway from my vet. Administering them is my option as a breeder.

My vet does give a breeder discount on many services if she sees you as a serious breeder. I guess it just depends on the individual vet.
