My biggest concern is that my boys have minimal vaccinations. If I allowed them on the floor at stores, or took them to groomers and parks, I would opt for more vaccinations. There are some things that can't be vaccinated for, so there are always risks the instant we step out of our homes. I do risk allowing the boys to walk and sniff where other dogs have been in our neighborhood.
When we had our airedale, she would always pee at the checkout counter at the groomer. We think she did it because, every single visit, the groomer would unabashedly tell us that we had a rotten dog.
I think the woman was simply annoyed that airedales are so much work because they have an unusual undercoat.
