Yes, she gets stressed out and pants and cries for most of the car ride... worse in the city than on the highway, but she just won't settle down. She was in a carrier strapped to the back seat but she started nervously chewing and ripped holes in it, so we got her a seabelt harness and now she just screams. It's really tough on her. I've tried sitting in the back with her and it calms her down a little bit, but when we get to the city I can't do anything to distract her, she just pants, paces, and yelps!
Only Rescue Remedy for humans is available at stores here in Canada. The difference is the pet version does not contain alcohol, so that's the one I'd like to get for her. I've seen some websites and forums saying just to dilute the human version so the alcohol isn't so concentrated, but if it's something I'm giving her EVERY DAY, I would rather make sure there's no alcohol at all.
