My lovely boy has turned five years old today.

We've had such a journey you and I,
From a tiny eight week old puppy
Needing Mommy so, stealing lap time,
Nibbling on my fingers and my hand

To this magnificent, beautiful Man you've become,
A working dog par none,
Such joy you bring to my every day,
How you pulled me in my wheelchair when I was sick,
And steadied my weak gait.

You and I have so many great memories,
Of hikes and games, and swimming galore,
Of raccons, and bears, and a certain goose.
Of cold mornings and hot afternoons.

Of show rings, and obedience trials,
Of dock diving, drafting, and doggy dancing.
Of injuries, and of healing.
Of lazing in the warm sun

Happy Happy Day My Magic Man;
You are the heart of my heart. I love you so.
