She's checked out as a healthy dog at the vets. But that has no connection with problems that we might run across down the road as she grows older. We are about to have her spade as she is reaching 12 months of age. She is 5.2 pounds now and is just a great big ball of energy. She loves people and other dogs. To a point where its a bit scary... She has not had ONE person come in our house who she has barked at or did not like. Every single human being is like a new toy to her. But yeah, in terms of her being "genetically" healthy, I don't know what we can do to go about testing that. She had the initial scare with giardia and coccidiosis and hasn't had a hitch in her step since. It really saddens me though that people can be this unethical with the handling/selling of LIVE animals just to make a buck. I could understand people being unethical with material items such as fake handbags and purses but come on... these are living, breathing, and loving animals. How can you even put a price on someone's emotional attachment that occurs once they take the dog home and raise it and care for it? That is what bugs me... That these people can sleep at night knowing that they might literally be ripping the hearts out of not only the dogs but the owners as well.
And talk about not using paragraph breaks loooool. |
