 Looking for feedback on marking with a stud dog
My sister recently lost her Irish Water Spaniel and is now looking to get another dog. They miss her so much and her cocker spaniel is lost with out her big sister. We went to a breeder of cavalier king charles spaniels yesterday, my GF has 2 of them and one from this breeder. My sister has shown Briards, IWS and border terriers over the years. After a long visit the breeder offered her a little male who is tracking to be show quality at 5 months, the breeder would co own and have stud rights if everything goes along as planned. Is it possible to have a male unneutered dog with a spayed female and not have them mark? Can you train them? I know once or if he is studded out it may be a different ball game. My sister is seriously thinking of getting him but was a little concerned about the marking. She had a male Briard who she championed who never marked and then she had a border terrier who did.
