Unless it continues for an extended period, she should be fine soon. Just make sure she's getting plenty of water to prevent dehydration. Actually, she needs extra water at this time to aid in milk production. Also, make sure she's eating well for you. She's the milk factory for 4 now and needs plenty of water and nutrition for the job. Now is when you'll want to start the calcium supplements, too.
Make sure to keep Sadie clean back there while she's having this issue. You may not want to do a full bath for a few more days, but at least give her a booty bath regularly. The pups will gravitate towards the smell and you don't want them up in that mess. | I started the calcium the day she delivered, is that ok? |
