I plan for my next dog to be a Biewer- is that cheating? too close to a Yorkie?

I love the look of maltese and what I read about them, but I have never actually met a decent full breed maltese- only mixes or pet shop puppies- so I would need to meet some before I made a decision.

I grew up with toy poodles and my family still owns them- if one fell in my lap I would take it in- I know the breed well- but I wouldn't actively seek one.

However, my next addition will for sure be a kitty- I have been too long without one and I miss having an aloof little brat to share my house with.
