Tibbe is a lap dog when he is not busy running the world. At night, he insists on sharing my actual pillow with me and gets his little 5 lb. body right up on my pillow right beside my head. Other times, when I am watching TV or reading lying down, he will bark at me until I tell him it okay to come share my pillow! He is the only dog I have had who will curl up with the side of his face against the side of my face - cheek-to-cheek, an action he always initiates when he is feeling especially cuddly. He will sleep like that until I need to move. When I do sit up, he does want to be in my lap most of the time he is not otherwise engaged. He only sleeps in his fuzzy bed when he is ignoring me for something I did he did not like - such as putting his toys away before he is ready or if he doesn't get something he really wants like a training session.
