You are correct, I've never given Nutra Cal to a whelping bitch. What I do use is Oral Cal Plus if a female is laging behind during the whelping and to keep it on hand in case of an episode of eclampsia. I do have it on Nutri Cal on hand for pups, but not to be used as a preventative on a regular basis. I much prefer as my repro vetd does.....NutriDrops,it is immediately absorbed much quicker into the system.

The recipes provided are the ones I highly recommended, used by breeders I know.

The goat's milk I use during the whelping process. The other I feed to mom's while they are nursing and also use it to assist in weaning pups...
