Although it wasn't a hard decision, raccoons are wild animals and are VERY destructive, life in our house will never be the same. The Yorkies absolutely loved her and she seemed to love them in return. They would run circles around the house, sometimes the pups would chase Annie and then Annie would turn around and chase the pups. Annie would "play doctor" with our elderly boxer, Boo, opening her mouth and looking inside, checking out her ears, nose, etc. Actually, she would stick her fingers in any hole - up your nose, in your ears, try to open your mouth and look inside and pockets -- oh my how she loves pockets, especially those that contain treasures like cell phones or Goldfish cheese crackers.
I am hoping that she will choose to hang around -- in the mornings I call her down from her sleeping place in the barn and we take a walk together to her climbing tree. I wait for her to get her exploring done and climb the tree before I go back inside 'cause she would follow me back inside. In the evenings we reverse the process, I call her down from her from her tree and we take a walk ending up back at the barn.
