Why do some vets do this - send a dog with a fresh incision home with nothing to help with the pain? It is hard to believe that in this day and time some still don't do it. Aren't dogs known for being stoic and many only shaking and having increased BP with the most severe pain? Just an accidental skin cut as big as even the smallest incision would warrant something for pain, I would think, let alone surgical exploration/excision.
