Well I think Mabel is finally Silly Putty free! The face went so well with cooking oil I thought I'd do the feet the same way - NOT! I filled up the baby bathtub with 1/4" of cooking oil so there would be no tracking of oil around the house - I just ended up with an unhappy pup and very oily feet. Then I decided to cut the fur instead; wish I had done it before adding oil but.... Mabel started licking the oil which made her sick a couple of times so I suggest if anyone has this happen to their pup - just cut the fur, it'll grow back soon enough. I'm really happy I didn't have to cut her facial hair and she still looks like our Mabel! Did I mention what I told my daughter? NO MORE SILLY PUTTY IN THE HOUSE!
