Sorry I can't tell by your name if your a man or a woman, but I have both a male and a female. My male Artie is a year and 3 months old, he is very attached to me to the point of separation anxiety. He is very smart, sweet, affectionate and eager to please me. My female is only 8 weeks old but I can already see a huge difference!
She is also smart, sweet and affectionate but only when it suits her mood she is almost aloof? She's independent and does what she want's to when ever she want's to. She is at times stubborn and unsociable. Where as Artie is more friendly and outgoing with other dogs and strangers. Abigail pretty much keeps to herself and could care less about anyone or anything else. She is closer to my husband than me but I don't care because I have mine.
