What confuses me is that when my dogs were puppies and had their vaccines, the vet said the rabies shot is only good for one year, then you have to get them the next year , and it is good for three years. SO is this true? Their are different tpyes of rabies shots? it did not make sense to me. |
We are a military family, so the first time we lived in San Antonio we got our dogs the three year rabies vaccine. We were only here a year longer and had to move to Tacoma WA. There we were told they did not recognize the three year rabies vaccine and annual shots would have to be done. Now that we are back in San Antonio our vet only does the one year kind. So...I think it is up to state regs and vets preference.
