I would think pig ears are ok to give. Its just gristle. My Yorkie that I had for almost 18 yrs & Heidi that is now 2 has always chewed them. They are just chewers though, they didn't swallow junks like a lot of dogs do. Actually they like to pull the skin back and chew out the fat in between. It'll last for weeks with Heidi.
I've never eaten a pig ear! lol I sure do like bacon though!! Ewe, yes pig snout.
