I wanted to put Angus's topknot up but he hates having the hair on top of his head messed with. He lets me groom him everywhere but the top of his head and I am sympathetic because I had very long hair and was tender headed as a kid.
Well, his hair was getting matted up there and after several days of trying to brush and comb it he gets away from me and then goes crazy rubbing on his back and rubbing the top of his head on everything. After a week or so I noticed he had about 5 or 6 perfect little dreadlocks. He has a kind of pointy nose and huge eyes like a lemur anyway, and he looked so cute. I started calling him Rod Stewart.
I should have gotten some pics because my husband combed them all out and cut his bangs without asking me. I feel like when a man takes his son for his first haircut without consulting the mother. I want to let him grow his dreads back. It's the only place he matts, but hubby doesn't like it. I would even invest in the bees wax for them. It's totally nontoxic and it only takes a tiny bit. |
