Yes, I would start getting her use to the crate right away. Put her in it at 5 minute intervales while you are there with her and when she gets use to it let her stay in longer at a time. She will begin to feel very comfortable in the crate. My baby goes in it and just sits when he feels like it all the time. It becomes a safe den for them.
