I would lean towards that as well if it weren't for his proclivity for out and out lies. He exaggerates small awards, he named a small one he made in school and called it something else that was actually awarded to another classmate instead of him. His claim of his solo waterway trip and saving himself from native tribes etc..the bulk of his claims are proven to be prevarications and the rest nobody probably bothers to disprove. He does have grandiose aspirations but I'm thinking Susanville, CA is as good as it is going to get. Not to disparage the town of Susanville, great orchestra, but I'm thinkin' he'd leave y'all flat if the NY Philharmonic called.
