Default Choosing a Crate:

Criteria for choosing a Crate:

Height: Tall enough for your Dog to stand up in comfortably.
(top to bottom inside, not the door, it’s head should not touch the top)
Width: Wide enough for you Dog to turn around in.
(side to side inside, not the door, slightly more than the length of your Dog, from the base of its tail to its chest)
Depth: About 1.5 times the length of your Dog at its present size, NO LARGER.
(front to rear, inside when the door is shut, it should be able to stretch out fully)
(measure your Dog from the base of its tail, to its chest, and multiply that times 1.5)
Type: Can be all Wire, Fiberglass or Plastic, some are collapsible.
(must be well vented, with a door large enough for the Dog to enter comfortably)
